Job Title: Capture Manager

Employment Type: Full-time

Location: Falls Church, VA; telework and flexible schedule permitted, provided you can regularly attend in-person meetings with business partners and clients / potential clients

The Role: Tesla Government Inc. is seeking a motivated and strategic capture manager to lead business development efforts by identifying, pursuing, and managing new proposal opportunities. The capture manager will be responsible for the full business development lifecycleresearching opportunities, building relationships, shaping capture strategies, and overseeing the proposal process. This individual will work closely with internal teams and external partners to position Tesla Government for success in the federal marketplace.

Position Summary: The capture manager will play a central role in driving revenue growth by identifying and cultivating new opportunities and winning new contracts. This individual will lead opportunity qualification, capture planning, competitive assessments, customer engagement, proposal development oversight, and transition to program execution. The capture manager will be a key contributor to Tesla Governments growth strategy.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities within the military, and federal civilian intelligence markets.
  • Conduct market research to create a business development pipeline, engage external partners to develop and execute capture strategies, and lead internal teams to craft compelling written materials, including RFI responses, white papers, and winning proposals.
  • Collaborate with technical and program management teams to align solutions with customer needs.
  • Lead bid/no-bid decision processes and present recommendations to leadership.
  • Coordinate drafting, editing and submission of winning proposals, ensuring compliance with solicitation requirements and company policies.
  • Maintain and update a pipeline of potential opportunities and track business development metrics using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, capture management, or proposal management within the federal contracting environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully capturing and winning contracts.
  • Strong knowledge of federal procurement processes and acquisition lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience working with defense, intelligence, or international development agencies.
  • Established network of federal agency and industry contacts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with GWACs, IDIQs, and other contract vehicles.
  • Prior experience in a small business or growth-stage organization.

Education/Experience: Bachelors degree in Business, International Relations, Political Science, or related field required. Advanced degree preferred but not required. Equivalent experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
