We are looking for a skilled Controller to lead the financial operations of our organization based in Puunene, Hawaii. This role involves managing financial reporting, budgets, and compliance, while offering strategic insights to drive business success. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader, capable of fostering a high-performing finance team and ensuring the organization’s financial health. Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure they are accurate and completed on time.

• Develop and oversee budgets, forecasts, and financial strategies to align with organizational goals.

• Implement and maintain robust internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

• Collaborate with executive leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations for business strategies.

• Manage the preparation and execution of internal and external audits, addressing any findings to ensure continuous improvement.

• Oversee the organization’s document management processes, including scanning, compiling, and maintaining accurate records.

• Identify opportunities for process optimization to enhance financial operations and reporting efficiency.

• Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable financial laws and regulations.

• Serve as a key point of contact for financial institutions, auditors, and regulatory agencies.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in financial management or as a Controller, preferably in a leadership capacity.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools, with the ability to adapt to new systems.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
• Strong organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
