Job Overview:
Dance Elite in Midland, Tx is searching for highly trained and passionate Dance Instructors to join our team and dance family. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in dance; ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop and/or lyrical/contemporary, and experience working with various age groups and levels, preschool children through adults. Candidates must have a passion for teaching. Dance Elite not only encourages lifelong dancers but is known for their strong technical training. Our dance educators responsibility is to prepare dancers for whatever goal they may have. Dancers from our studio have grown to dance professionally, use their knowledge to choreograph, teach, work in health professions, theatre, performing arts programs and various coaching areas. Dance Elite is dedicated to training excellent dancers, advancing the dance culture in Midland, Tx and creating a positive dance community.

Duties:
- Plan and conduct dance classes for students of different skill levels
- Teach classes in various dance styles such as ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, and contemporary
- Create choreography for performances and recitals
- Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their technique
- Organize and lead group rehearsals
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students - Be a positive role model, dependable, punctual, creative, friendly and professional at all times - Must be able to commit to teaching ones classes for at least 1 school year dance session - Hours will be based upon an individual's experience, availability, classes offered, etc - Attend continuing education opportunities and staff meetings - Support and participate in studio events as required to encourage student growth and retention

Experience:
- Previous experience teaching dance to students (pre-school through adults)and various levels; beginning, intermediate and advanced is preferred - Performing experience as a dancer is a must
- Technical knowledge of different dance styles, techniques and/or in depth knowledge of your specialty genre is essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills that can adjust based on student ages
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit the needs of individual students - Performance and Choreography reel/link would be appreciated
- Experience in multiple performing arts is a plus
