Job Description
This is not a “job”, it’s a career; and it’s perfect for someone looking to re-enter the job market or who is ready to shift gears towards a truly rewarding profession. If you’ve raised your family and are looking for an opportunity to put your talents, life experience and local knowledge to work, then we should talk.
We place high value on your eagerness to serve and your willingness to learn. We will support and encourage you as you develop and grow into this position.
In return we need someone we can trust with our name & reputation and someone who is willing to be 100% “all in” on the objectives we are trying to accomplish. We want you to own it and make it yours. Your degree of effort that you bring to the table and your eagerness to get started will count for more than your education or your professional background.
Your primary duties will include working with people to plan, fund and create their end-of-life directives with regard funeral & cremation services in advance. This is a highly sensitive topic that calls for a certain degree of maturity, compassion and confidentiality.
Scheduling appointments, following up for 2nd meetings, doing service work on existing files, conducting outreach through existing community groups such as churches, senior organizations, social media and other forms of engagement will be required. We have the templates for all of this; we would need you to execute them.
You should be a “people person” who loves and gets energy from working with the public. You should be able to interact with all sorts of different types of people and to always put their needs in front of your own.
Your income from this endeavor will grow over time as you develop skills, learn the ins and outs of the funeral profession and create a clientele within the surrounding area. During your first year you’d probably earn less than $50,000, but as time goes on and you become better at what you are doing there’s no reason it won’t grow by a significant amount.
