Who Were Looking For

We're looking for a District Manager to oversee all people and operations performance across all of Photomatica Museum Locations. Our ideal candidate is a people-focused leader who can motivate staff, strengthen teamwork, and ensure our museums run smoothly and successfully every day.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop recommendations and action plans to improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop staffing strategies, labor planning, and productivity initiatives.
  • Maintain clear, consistent communication among supervisors and staff to ensure the museums are fully supported.
  • Resolve team members' employee relations issues in partnership with HR.
  • Partner closely with Museum Managers and the HR Manager to maintain consistent and compliant practices throughout all our Museum locations.
  • Guide and mentor Museum Managers, fostering professional growth and strong leadership.

Who are you:

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a management role, ideally in the service industry
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on coaching and achieving excellence
  • Knowledge of basic health, safety, and security protocols within the workplace.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours.
  • Photography or darkroom experience is a bonus (not required)

Schedule/Travel:

  • In-person work is required Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at our San Francisco Office.
  • Monthly travel to Photomatica Storefronts in California and beyond (required), with overnight stays expected.
