We provide secure, high-quality language solutions in more than 80 spoken and signed languages for USCIS and other federal agencies.

We are seeking Romanian Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Romanian is a key European language, often required for asylum, refugee, and immigration interviews.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time Romanian English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders.
• Interpret with accuracy, impartiality, and professionalism in immigration, legal, and administrative settings.
• Maintain confidentiality in line with USCIS/DHS compliance standards.
• Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge calls.
• Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and QA audits.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Romanian and English.
• 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, legal, healthcare, or government preferred).
• Strong knowledge of interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity.
• Excellent telephone communication skills; ability to remain accurate under pressure.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance.
