Hybrid Network Engineer opportunity with a leading Financial Services firm in Midtown Manhattan (10022) .

This is a hands-on hybrid role (23 days onsite) focused on designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure using Cisco (IOS/NX-OS) and Juniper (Junos OS) technologies. Youd play a key part in network design, operations, and incident response, while collaborating across infrastructure, security, and cloud teams.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Cisco and Juniper technologies, take ownership of network projects, and ensure high availability, reliability, and security of our network systems. This role also includes network incident response and proactive improvement of our infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:

1. Network Design & Implementation

• Design, configure, and deploy secure and scalable LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and data center network solutions.
• Develop high-availability network architecture, including redundancy, failover, and disaster recovery connectivity.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and cloud engineering teams to support hybrid (on-prem + cloud) network environments.

1. Network Operations & Maintenance

• Perform daily monitoring, maintenance, patching, and lifecycle management of routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and network appliances.
• Maintain accurate network documentation: diagrams, IP address plans, topology, standards, configurations, and runbooks.

1. Incident Response & Troubleshooting

• Act as Tier-2/3 escalation for network-related incidents and outages, performing root cause analysis and timely resolution.
• Proactively identify network risks, performance bottlenecks, or security vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions.

1. Continuous Improvement & Project Leadership

• Lead enterprise network upgrade projects, migrations, and new office/data center builds.
• Evaluate new networking technologies and tools to enhance reliability, security, and observability.
