Social Media Influencer Marketing Assistant

Your Mission: Use your marketing skills to change the world for animals. PETA is seeking a Social Media and Influencer Assistant to correspond with supporters as well as influencers on PETAs social media sites and contribute to our growing social media presence across a variety of platforms. PETA is the most engaged-with advocacy organization on social media and reaches millions of people each month with hard-hitting emotional animal rights content. You will help animals by keeping their message front and center and assisting the social media team on sites like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok.

What Your Day Will Look Like

  • Help save animals as PETAs biggest priority by monitoring incoming comments on PETAs social media accounts for animal emergencies and questions regarding PETAs issues, responding as appropriate.
  • Assist with influencer experiences, photoshoots, events, and unboxing campaigns from start to finish, including setup and takedown and submitting internal requests for campaigns.
  • Be available to respond in real time on some holidays and weekends to engage with the public and attend events.
  • Monitor influencer accounts for mentions of PETA and animal rights to build relationships and extend messaging.
  • Identify and engage new influencers across platforms and add them to the influencer contacts database as appropriate.
  • Participate in brainstorming meetings.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.


Requirements
  • Although this position is work-from-home, candidates must be Los Angeles-based to attend in-person influencer experiences, shoots, and related activities.
  • Must have access to transportation or must be at least 21 years old with a valid U.S. drivers license, a minimum of three years of driving experience, and a satisfactory driving record.
  • College degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in an office environment (in-person or remote).
  • Working knowledge of social media influencers and ability to identify emerging influencers.
  • Extensive knowledge of social media and the Internet; proficient computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent writing and organizational skills with the ability to grab attention quickly on social media.
  • Proven ability to conduct and analyze marketing research.
  • Ability to understand PETA campaigns, vegan lifestyle, and animal rights issues; able to advocate the organizations positions professionally.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Commitment to the objectives of the organization.


The hourly pay range for this position is $19.24 - $20.24 per hour. The final offer within this range will be based on experience and cost of living in the area where the candidate will live and work.
