Job Details
- Registered Professional Nurse providing safe, competent quality care based on nursing theory and research to ICU patients.
- Delivers patient care incorporating Relationship Centered Care and nursing process based on theory, research, evidence-based practice, and organizational nursing standards.
- Assesses and evaluates patient care needs applying critical thinking skills.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary healthcare team in care planning and evaluation.
- Prioritizes patient care including teaching, rounding, coaching, discharge planning, and delegation.
- Educates patients and caregivers about plan of care, transition, health promotion, and disease prevention.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Manages assignments within Modified Primary Nursing care delivery model.
- Role models Mount Sinai Relationship Centered Care through various patient engagement activities.
- Considers patient values, preferences, cultural diversity, and needs in care.
- Establishes therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
- Uses evidence-based practices to understand patient perceptions of care.
- Initiates service recovery and escalates concerns appropriately.

Job Requirements
- Registered Professional Nurse (RN) licensure required in New York.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
