\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
\n• Choose between 36 or 48 hours per week schedules
\n• 16-week assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week
\n• Patient ratios of 1:4-6
\n• Every other weekend requirement
\n• Float within service line as needed
\n• 2 years of experience required, no first-time travelers accepted
\n• Travel experience required
\n• Home address must be at least 75 miles from facility
\n• Required certifications: BLS
\n• Epic charting system experience required
\n• Required skills: Med/Surg, Telemetry remote monitoring, Colostomy care, Feeding tube care and management, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Starting IVs, Heparin, Insulin, PCA
\n• Care for patients with ostomy, colon resection, colon cancer, bladder cancer, GU conditions, and medical overflow
\n• Administer various drips including Heparin, Lidocaine, Bicarb, Bivaldirubin, and occasionally Amiodarone
\n• Manage PCAs, Epidurals, and continuous bladder irrigation with different irrigation solutions
\n• Special procedures include foleys, CBI, TURPS, and colorectal patient protocols
\n• Navy scrubs required
\n• No more than 7 days RTO per contract
\n• Must pass Relias EKG exam

\nThis is a large academic medical center featuring 1,266 staffed beds and serving as both a Magnet-designated hospital and Level I Trauma Center. The facility is a major teaching hospital that provides comprehensive healthcare services with advanced medical technology and specialized units. The medical-surgical unit is a high-turnover surgery patient unit with 38 beds and a daily census of 32 patients, supported by interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams.
