As\nthe Medical Director, you'll keep doing what you love - practicing veterinary\nmedicine. But you'll also provide vital medical leadership, oversee the\nveterinary team, and cultivate an environment where exceptional pet care\nthrives. You'll develop medical protocols, mentor colleagues, and collaborate\nwith the practice manager on finances, budgeting, and operational optimization. 

 

Your\nQualifications:

  • DVM degree from\nan accredited university and an active state license 
  • Minimum of 5\nyears experience in a GP animal hospital
  • Commitment to practicing world-class veterinary\nmedicine
  • Skillful ability\nto delegate, develop, and inspire a winning team 
  • Top- notch\ncommunication and coaching talents

  • Base salary of $125,000-$150,000 DOE

\n About the Area:

Frederick is the 2nd largest city in the\nstate of Maryland and one of the fastest growing cities in the DC metro area.\nThe downtown area is packed with charm including civil war museums, Maryland\nSchool for the Deaf, row houses, quaint one-of-a-kind shops, local eateries,\nmicro-breweries, and local distilleries that are mostly pet-friendly. Outside\nof downtown is a large military base, Fort Detrick. Just outside the city\nproper, but still within Frederick County, you can find rolling hills,\nwineries, orchards and a strong agricultural presence. You can also hike part\nthe Appalachian Trail. Frederick is part of the Baltimore- Washington\nMetropolitan Area - located less than one hour from Washington, D.C.,\nBaltimore, and about 45 minutes away from Gettysburg, PA. Frederick considers\nitself the city where hip meets historic every day.

*Relocation benefits are\noffered at NVA GP’s discretion and are available only for approved Managing\nVeterinarian roles within the following states: OH, WV, PA, MD, NJ, NY, MA, RI,\nCT, VT, NH, ME. Eligibility is dependent on distance moved, business need, and\nfinal approval from Talent Acquisition. Payment amounts and criteria may vary\nby role and are subject to change at any time.

Relocation benefits are\nnot available for local moves (e.g., short-distance moves within the same metro\narea). NVA GP reserves the right to determine whether a move qualifies as\n“relocation” based on mileage thresholds, candidate address, and business rationale.
